Coitapa School, Bobonaro District

2022 – US$53,000 4 Classroom and Teachers’ Room  School Building, Toilets and Hand-washing Facilities

Coitapa is a small, rural village 1 1/2 hours from Dili. The school’s 120 children were being taught in a lightweight school building in danger of collapse. The toilets were unusable and there was no water supply at the school.

The Rotary Club of Hall fully funded the construction at Coitapa of a 4 classroom and teachers’ room school building, a block of 5 toilets, and a water connection at the cost of US$53,000.

Three members of RC Hall travelled to Timor in September 2022, to be part of the joyous opening ceremony for the school.
