Schools and Furniture for 2026

There’s a lot going on at Spend it Well in 2026. We are currently finishing our school project on Atauro Island, then will move on to Liminaro School and Madebau Schools in Bobonaro District. We have funding for two more schools this year and will have more details about them soon. The fabulous Donations in Kind in Melbourne is working on our next furniture container. They will send us a 40 foot container in early March, crammed with furniture for over 400 children, together with stationery and whatever other great things they can squeeze in. We are also hoping to send a 20 foot container containing 6 playgrounds which have been rescued when Councils remove them, reconditioned, cleaned and packed ready for re-use. We’d love help with the shipping costs of these items – A$30 pays the shipment of a desk and chair for a child in Timor (and stops it going to landfill).
