School desks arrive at Ostico School

To try and prevent further deforestation in East Timor, there are strict limits on cutting down trees.  One of the results of that policy though, is a critical shortage of school furniture (which is normally made out of wood).  As a result of appeals by Kirsty Sword Gusmao, used furniture from Australian schools has been donated and sent to East Timor.  Ostico School (which Spend it Well rebuilt and extended last year) was the beneficiary of some of these last week.  The happy smiles from the children say it all really!
